we are allowed to be okay
A collection of hand-crafted poetry and illustrations.
If you have ever felt like for some reason, you're not allowed to be happy, whole and here, then this book is for you.
This book was written as a continual reminder to myself that no matter how tough life gets, how heavy it feels or how much it might feel like I am getting it all wrong, I'm allowed to pause and just... be okay.
I hope that it can serve as something for you - perhaps a reminder that even amongst all of the chaos of life you're allowed to find moments of joy. Not with a pressure to be grateful, or to bypass the sh*t you're no doubt dealing with, but to say that you're allowed to be experiencing it all.
You're allowed to be in tears one day, and enjoy the next.
You're allowed to be a social butterfly on some days, and need space on others.
You're allowed to be the full and multifaceted expression of exactly who you are.
You're allowed to be okay.
Please note, this book is not a replacement for mental health support and nor should it be taken as advice in any way. This is purely a poetic piece of work that is written from my own perspective.
As always - take what resonates, leave what doesn't, seek additional support when you need to.
Thank you for your support x
